Frank Mujica
(b. Pinar del Río, 1985)
Frank Mujica graduated from the San Alejandro School of Fine Arts in 2004, and the Superior Institute of Art in 2010, both in Havana. He also attended a Documentary Film Workshop at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York, in 2008. His most recent solo exhibitions include Mujica at Servando Gallery in Havana, 2014, and Paisaje (Landscape) at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba in Havana, 2010. His works have been included in several group shows, such as Sphere (with Alex Hernández and Adrián Fernández) at Galerie Verbeeck-Van Dyck in Antwerp, Belgium, 2015; Summer in Havana at Octavia Art Gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana, 2015; Drawing Now: Uprising Caribbean Contemporary Art in Paris, France, 2014; Cubanos convertibles (Convertible Cubans) at Habana Gallery in Havana, 2008; and Masa Crítica (Critical Mass) at the Center for the Development of Visual Arts in Havana, 2007. He received The Art Lovers Award in 2011, granted at the LINEART 2011 Art Fair in Gent, Belgium; and the First Prize at the Havana Salon, organized by the Chinese Traditions House in Havana (2005).
