Yunier Hernández Figueroa

(b. Camagüey, 1980)

Yunier Hernández Figueroa graduated from the Superior Institute of Art in Havana in 2006. He is a professor at the “Eduardo Abela” School of Visual Arts in San Antonio de Los Baños, Artemisa. His solo exhibitions include Fiduciario (Fiduciary) at the Isla de Cuba Hotel in Camagüey, 2012; De la idea al límite (From the Idea to the Limit) at the Humboldt House in Havana, 2006; Gracias por su visita (Thanks For Your Visit) at the House of Young Creators Gallery in Camagüey, 2001; and Artefacto (Artifact) at the UNEAC Gallery in Camagüey, 1999. His works have been featured in group exhibitions such as Stealing Base: Cuba at Bat at The 8th Floor in New York, NY, 2013; and El objeto encontrado (The Found Object) at MYTO Gallery in Mexico City, Mexico, 2004.
