Ileana Mulet
(b. Holguín, 1952)
Ileana Mulet graduated from the San Alejandro School of Fine Arts in Havana, specializing in Interior Design. She worked as a costume designer for various Cuban TV series, and won several awards at national festivals for her designs. Her solo exhibitions include El beso de la salamandra (The Salamander’s Kiss) at the House of Poetry in Old Havana, 2008; Viaje al infinito (Travel to Infinity) at the Memorial José Martí Memorial in Havana, 2007; Al fuego de la espátula (The Fire Of the Spatula) at Havana Gallery in Chicago, Illinois, 2001; De La Habana a La Arauca (From Havana to Arauca) at the School of Fine Arts in Arauca, Colombia, 2001; and Recorrido por la Habana Colonial (Tour of Colonial Havana) at Etcheva Gallery in Bilbao, Spain, 1989.
