Manuel Couceiro
(b. Havana, 1923 - d. Havana, 1981)
Manuel Couceiro was a member of Grupo Antillano (1975-1985), a group of Cuban artists who represented the African roots of Cuban national identity. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC). His solo exhibitions include Couceiro at the Lyceum in Havana, 1946; Óleos de Manolo Couceiro (Oils by Manolo Couceiro) at Habana Gallery in Havana, 1965; and Temas y ensayos (Themes and Essays) at La Rampa Gallery in Havana, 1974.
